John M. Griffee of Ocala, Florida is writing a book on St. Patrick coinage. He knows of about
900 farthings worldwide of which he has photographs of over 760. There are 150 different varieties of farthings in his collection.
The coin pictured here is currently identified as variety B208.0, of which only four other examples are known.
