ENCL 3 (EXHIBIT APPLICATION) PAGE 2

SUMMARY OF AND SUPPLEMENTS TO EXHIBIT RULES

Each exhibitor is limited to the number of exhibits and exhibit cases set forth in paragraph 8 and enclosure 1 of the exhibit rules. Deviations from these limits are allowed only with the approval of the PNNA exhibit committee in advance. Cases will be displayed flat on tables. Vertical exhibiting is limited by available wall space and is permitted only by prior specific arrangement with the exhibit chairman. No electrical outlets will be provided.

Exhibit cases will be opened ONLY when the exhibitor (or the exhibitor’s agent previously designated in writing) and a member of the exhibit chairman’s staff are BOTH present. Exhibits may not be removed from exhibit cases before the time designated in the convention schedule unless permission has been obtained from the exhibit committee. Requests will be granted only in cases of bona fide emergency. Remember that a second party can be designated to remove an exhibit (see page 4 of this application).

If the exhibitor has previously received the Byron Johnson award or has twice received first place awards for exhibits in the same class as the present exhibit, the exhibitor must satisfy the PNNA that the exhibit complies with exhibit rule I-6 regarding repeated entries. This will be done by providing detailed inventories of the previously winning exhibit and the present exhibit and an explanation of how the present exhibit’s presentation differs from that of the earlier exhibit. The exhibit chairman will accept the present application only after reviewing the justification. If eligibility becomes an issue after the exhibitor arrives at the convention, the chief judge or an assistant chief judge may substitute for the exhibit chairman in the latter’s absence.

I have read the above summary and supplements. ______________________
(exhibitor’s initials)

If exhibit rule I-6 applies to this exhibit, following is the justification showing that the exhibit complies with that rule.

EXHIBIT DESCRIPTION

To assure that your exhibit is placed in the proper class and is evaluated by the correct team of judges, you must: state your exhibit title (it should match page 1 of this application); describe the numismatic purpose of your exhibit in about 100 words; provide an inventory of the numismatic material you are using to support your theme. The theme statement will be used to describe your exhibit in a booklet to be distributed in the exhibit hall, so that viewers can decide whether to specifically locate and read your exhibit. The inventory must be detailed enough that the exhibit committee can determine whether you have selected the proper class for exhibition (including the number of each kind of item, so that compliance with the "65% rule" (rule 15) can be determined). If your exhibit could fit into more than one class and you are using exhibitor option (rule 16) to select the class you want to use, place an "X" here. _____
