2009 C2009-12 (pewter) and C2009-13 (copper) – presentation pieces for PNNA co-sponsored British Token Congress, Seattle, WA, May 14-16, 2009.
Featuring the Seattle Space Needle and Lady Godiva!

The Space Needle image was based on a nickel advertising token of the Olde Curiosity Shoppe (IIRC). The Lady Godiva image was based on the 1792 copper half penny token of the City of Coventry (one of the most popular of the British token series of the 1780s-'90s). After cutting the dies, Greg Franck-Weiby learned that there were two versions of the original type, the 'modest' version, and the 'revealing' version; both show the Lady drawing her long hair across her bosom, but in the modest version, she has completed the motion, while on the other she has not. The BTC version is not modest! Approximate mintage (copper): 50 to 100.
