PNNA / WCC Fall Coin Shows

Beginning in 2020-21, separate fall shows were scheduled in Seattle (Tukwila) and Portland, with the PNNA sponsoring the Tukwila show and the Willamette Coin Club (WCC) sponsoring the Portland show.

This year’s PNNA fall coin show is scheduled for October 6-8, 2023 in Tukwila. More information will be posted, however, most show details are expected to be similar to the 2022 show.

The WCC Portland fall coin show is scheduled for November 4-5, 2023 in Clackamas.

PNNA Tukwila Show Information

18th Annual Fall Coin Show, Tukwila, WA
October 6-8, 2023

Location: Tukwila Community Center, 12424 42nd Ave. So., Tukwila, WA. The bridge is one-way traffic, so a detour is in place entering the show.

PNNA shows normally feature a large active bourse, exhibits, numismatic theater and club meetings, and a popular young numismatist (YN) program. However, there have not been theater presentations at recent Tukwila shows, and this has not yet been decided for the fall.

Admission/Hours – Public show hours: Friday Noon – 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 6 PM, Sunday 10 AM – 4 PM. Admission $5.00 per day, $10.00 for all three days. Children 12 and under are free, as are PNNA life members with photo ID badge. “Early Bird” admission (9 AM Fri/Sat/Sun) is $50.00.

Board Meeting – A PNNA board meeting is scheduled for Saturday as soon as possible after the bourse closes, about 6:15 p.m. PNNA members are invited to attend.

Dealers – 85 local, regional and national numismatic dealer booths. A dealer list and map are posted at each show. See the dealer list for the 2022 fall coin show in Tukwila. (The 2023 dealer list will be posted about one week before the show.)

Education/Exhibits – Educational Numismatic Theater presentations and meetings are normally held on Saturday, however the fall 2022 show did not have a theater. There are also outstanding collector exhibits at each PNNA convention/show. The location of the exhibits is in the fitness room across the hall from the bourse entrance, as at most past shows.

Grading Services – Check the ANACS website for a list of shows ANACS will attend, which will likely include the PNNA fall show. Normally ANACS accepts submissions, but a grader is not present at PNNA shows. Discount codes are available for certain submissions, as advertised in The Nor’wester.

The PNNA group rate is available from Thursday, October 5, 2023 to Monday, October 9, 2023. The last day to book is Friday, September 15, 2023. Rates are 129 USD – 139 USD per night. Literature – Free full-color copies of The Nor’wester will be available at the show. A literature table will also be set up at the show.

Parking – Plenty of free off-street parking. – See the driving directions. Located just 10 minutes from SeaTac Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Seattle.

Prizes and Souvenirs – Hourly door prizes. (Prizes are mailed to winners not present.) “Squished” or elongated cents will be available as souvenirs, thanks to the PNNA’s popular machine!

Security – Video recording of the show entry area will be in effect, and registration and ID may be required – see the PNNA privacy policy.

Youth Activities – Young Numismatist (YN) treasure hunt will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, as part of youth and family activities. See Young Numismatist (YN) program information. There will also be a scout (BSA) workshop on Saturday afternoon – see the scouting page.
