The Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association (PNNA) is a regional organization for numismatists — persons who study, collect, or deal with coins, paper money, tokens and medals. This site is updated frequently to bring you the most accurate and up-to-date information available about numismatics in the Pacific Northwest. Puyallup Fair! – This annual event begins Friday, September 5 and runs until Sunday, September 21. The PNNA will again be represented in the Hobby Hall, and volunteers will be available to answer your questions and give out free world coins to kids. See "Current and Upcoming Events" below for more information.

ANA Convention! – The annual World’s Fair of Money® (ANA Anniversary Convention) was held July 30-August 3, 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland. Several PNNA members were in attendance. See a brief report. For those wanting something closer to home, mark your calendars now for the upcoming fall and spring events in Portland, Oregon and Tukwila, Washington. (See "Current and Upcoming Events" below.)

It's Over!! Convention – The annual PNNA Convention was held April 4-6, 2008 in Tukwila, Washington. This was an exciting well-attended event, with a large active bourse, exhibits, and a popular young numismatist (YN) program! We'll see you again next year (April 17-19, 2009) in Tukwila!

Convention Token! – The PNNA is pleased to once again offer custom designed and struck “tokens” for its 2008 annual convention. This year the design again includes a Gallery Mint replica of a US coin design! Please see collector set ordering information on the local news page.

Scholarships! Scholarship applications for the 2008 ANA Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs, Colorado were due Saturday, March 15. The winner, PNNA past president Larry Gaye, was announced at the PNNA convention. See the scholarship page.

What is our charter? — Per Article II of the PNNA Constitution and Bylaws, "The objects and purposes of this association are to promote, extend, and protect the interests of numismatists and numismatic activities throughout the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, and Alaska) and to foster and encourage the study of numismatics in all its forms."

What do we do? — In addition to maintaining this web site, the PNNA publishes a quarterly newsletter, holds an annual convention, and promotes numismatics through special programs, activities and awards such as National Coin Week awards for clubs and the numismatic display at the Puyallup Fair each September.

Current and Upcoming Events:

	Puyallup Fair – September 5-21, 2008. The PNNA sponsors the annual coin exhibit in the Hobby Hall, with assistance from several local coin clubs. We have handouts including magazine copies, event calendars, a coin club list and coins for junior collectors! No volunteer is knowledgeable about all aspects of numismatics – if your question isn't answered or if you are unable to attend the Fair, please e-mail your question to info@pnna.org, and it will be directed to a local expert for a response.
